CBD QUESTIONS

WHAT IS A 'SUBLINGUAL TINCTURE"?

Sublingual is a complicated way to say “taken under the tongue”. The primary advantage is direct absorption into the bloodstream.  This can be considered equal to eating except it is much more rapidly uptaken into your bloodstream as it does not have to go through the digestive process. ]

WHAT KIND OF CBD SHOULD I TAKE?

People get confused when they see different forms and concentrations of CBD.  The thing to note is that CBD-whether in a 3% or 10% bottle, 3% balm or capsule is molecularly identical.  Any form of our CBD has exactly the same profile, the differentiation is the process and concentration in which it is administered.  Topical CBD will affect a specific area of the body more than a sublingual or oral dosage.  Sublingually or orally will ensure that CBD is absorbed into the entire bloodstream and then be carried to various organs, connective tissues and muscles of the body

WHAT CONCENTRATION OF CBD OIL SHOULD I TAKE?

All the various concentrations of our products contain the same CBD.  The difference is the amount CBD mg per ml of product.  The concentration you should use is therefore based on the economic value of the product.  If it works very well for you (as you have used it in the past) then the higher concentration/lower dosage is a good way to go.  If however, this is your first time using CBD, it makes sense to purchase a lower concentration and take a higher dose to see if it has a positive result for you

HOW LONG BEFORE I SEE THE POSITIVE AFFECTS OF CBD?

This is a difficult question because, like many broad questions, the answer can be “depends”.  In this case, it depends on what your specific purpose of taking CBD is.  For instance, if it is pain relief, anxiety or anti-inflammation-then the relief and effects can be quite rapid.  However, other conditions may require a more protracted process of therapy and should be done in consultation with your doctor.

WILL I TEST POSITIVE IF I USE FARMERS LAB CBD OIL?

Hemp oil contains only trace amounts of THC, the powerful compound that causes psychoactive effects like feeling high, nervous, paranoid, hungry, etc. And because it has such low amounts of THC, it cannot appear in lab tests. Most lab tests target THC and the only way to get high amounts of THC in the blood is to I or inhale marijuana.

IS CBD LEGAL?

CBD is legal in all 50 states; however, there are situations when it isn’t legal. Hemp and marijuana are essentially the same cannabis family – however, CBD that is extracted from marijuana is still illegal while CBD oil drops that are extracted from hemp are completely legal.

This has to do with the chemical makeup of hemp and marijuana. While THC levels in marijuana can be as high as 30%, hemp plants have only trace amounts of THC and therefore cannot give you a “high”.  Because of this, CBD oil that comes from hemp plants doesn’t have any ingredient that makes it psychoactive, and therefore the law is okay with it Hemp products are legal and available in different formats including vaping cigs, oils, snacks, etc. Because the hemp plant is often confused with marijuana, there is still some stigma towards hemp products – but it is legal.

WHAT ARE CANNABINOIDS?

Cannabinoids are a group of active compounds found in cannabis plants and they are responsible for the various characteristics of the plant. Terpenes are some of the compounds found in the plants and they provide aromas and flavors, while chlorophyll gives the leaves its characteristic green color.

Cannabinoids are the active ingredients in hemp plants and marijuana and they give it its medical and recreational properties. THC, one of the cannabinoids found in marijuana, interacts with different brain receptors to produce a wide range of effects, such as feeling high. CBO, another type of cannabinoid found in hemp plants, is not psychoactive.

WHAT IS CANNABIDIOL (CBD)?

Cannabidiol is a naturally-occurring constituent of cannabis and it is one of 113 cannabinoids that are present in hemp plants. Cannabidiol can be taken by mouth as a way to manage a number of conditions. It has strong anti-psychotic effects and it has been shown to be effective at managing mood disorders. As of 2018, food and beverages in the US have been sold (legally) with varying amounts of cannabidiol.

WHAT IS CBD OIL?

CBD is one of many compounds known as cannabinoids found in the hemp plant. CBD produces significant changes in the body, and medical research suggests it has medical benefits. Hemp plants, the least processed type of cannabis plant, contain most of the CBD used medically. CBD oil is extracted from the seeds and stalks of help plants and it contains very low amounts of THC (less than 0.2%), which means it doesn’t cause euphoria, paranoia, or other effects of THC.
CBD oil works by attaching itself to receptors in the body, and while the body produces some forms of cannabinoids on its own, the effects of CBD oil are much more visible. Some research suggests that CBD forces the body to use more of its own cannabinoids, rather than solely attaching itself to brain receptors.

WHAT IS ENDOCANNABINOID SYSTEM?

The endocannabinoid system is a biological system that comprises various endocannabinoids which are basically neurotransmitters that bind to cannabinoid receptors to cause different effects in the body.

These cannabinoid receptors are expressed through the mammalian central nervous system and also the peripheral nervous system. The role of the endocannabinoid system is to regulate cognitive and physiological processes such as moods, appetite, memory, fertility, and pain sensation. ECS is an advanced biological process that enables the body to regulate systems so that conditions remain within a narrow rang. ECS plays a huge role in homeostasis, and it is widespread throughout the animal kingdom.

The three main components of ECS are cannabinoid receptors that are found on cell surfaces, endocannabinoids, which are small molecules that activate the cannabinoid receptors, and metabolic enzymes that brake own endocanabinoids. ECS is an essential biological system that helps to regulate body functions.

You will not experience any psychoactive effects from using Pharmahemp CBO oil. On the contrary, you will be able to counteract psychoactive effects such as those experienced by using a variety of drugs. In other words, CBO oil makes you sober and can be used to manage a number of physical and psychological conditions.

WHAT IS CO2 EXTRACTION?

In the process of extracting phytochemicals such as CBO, terpenes, and flavanoids, pressurized carbon dioxide is used at specific temperatures and it acts like a solvent, but poses no dangers. It is a complex extraction method that is also considered the safest and most reliable.
